So, I'm new to this whole business of blogging, but after viewing a few others, let's get down, shall we?
A few days ago, my report card was mailed out to me. After reading it, I had to store it away in the box of memories (that's basically full of gum wrappers, other reports and Christmas cards), I stumbled across my diary collection. One stood out in particular as it was one of my 10th birthday presents.

And I found that I had written only three pages worth, the remainder of the book was used for nonsense drawings, love calculations with the Jonas Brothers, and those chain thingies we used to back in the day (the thing on the right).
Anyhow, the first page was basically a recount of all the fun I had on my birthday. I was practically describing every gift I had received and yada yada. The second was written the same day, apparently three hours later, where I had talked about going to the milkbar. And the third was a day later, where I told the diary that I wasn't gonna be able to write daily as I was busy doing things like going to the beach.
Ok so why the trip down memory lane? Wellll I was just thinking that nearly everybody has started something, and just put it off, ignored it or left it incomplete. Be it a diet of some sort, a knitting project, learning a piece of music, writing a story (I've started all of those by the way).
What's standing in our way of completion, other than our own minds?!
Nothing.
We gotta learn to overcome this laziness otherwise there won't be any advancing from our generation. I mean, classic example, but look at Edison. He didn't start planning the invention of a light device and decide suddenly that "NOPE, I ceeeebz doing this". No he didn't. Similarly, Steve Jobs and Apple, Beyonce and songwriting, a movie director and the annoyances they go through to put out something, J.K Rowling and Harry Potter. None of these would be known by us if these figures had the same mentalities as us when approaching their activities.
Whatever you start, try your best to finish! It could lead to other things and hobby development, or even a career! Like YouTubers who gain that occupation after uploading lots of videos, or musicians and writers who develop interest after their first pieces.
Who knows where it would take you? You had some inspiration to start it, so maintain that inspo and complete it!
We are all talented in our own ways, and we should never let our own conscience tell us otherwise. First, we gotta truly accept our flaws and strengths before worrying about other people judging us. So go love yourself, start and finish something you wanna, and learn from it. It'll feel great. Trust me.
Signing out, yo chica Zahraa :P
